FULL ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrival


Nestled along the scenic banks of the Mekong River, Pakse stands as a vibrant hub in Southern Laos, offering a captivating blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern amenities. As the capital of Champasak Province, Pakse exudes a laid-back charm, inviting visitors to explore its bustling markets, serene temples, and picturesque riverfront promenade. Renowned for its French colonial architecture, Pakse boasts an eclectic mix of traditional Laotian charm and contemporary influences. we can pick you up from the Thai Border at Chongmek or Pakse Airport.

DAY 2: PAKSE

A full day of cycling begins at your hotel in Pakse and continues to the village of Ban Don Khor, known for its sandstone carvings and giant Buddha effigy in the temple at Wat Chomphet. Following this, the tour continues north to the weaving village of Ban Saphai before a boat crossing takes riders and their bikes to Don Kho Island for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we cross to the other side of the Mekong River and start a trail that winds through local villages up to the top of Mount Phusalao. After watching the sunset over Pakse and the Mekong River from the viewpoint on the top of the hill we continue back to the city with a final stop at a bustling local market along the way.

DAY 3: Pakse- Champasak

Prepare for an exhilarating and enchanting cycling expedition as we embark on a journey through time. Pedal along the smooth tarmac road, embracing the nostalgic allure of colonial Champasak en route to the awe-inspiring Wat Phu. This Khmer Hindu temple complex, with origins dating back to the 5th century, invites you to delve into a captivating exploration of ancient history and architectural magnificence. As you traverse the tranquil countryside, each pedal stroke brings you closer to uncovering the secrets of this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 4: Champasak – Don Khong


Today, we indulge in the delightful experience of island hopping as we traverse the Mekong's enchanting archipelago. Our journey begins with a series of ferry crossings, allowing us to explore the hidden gems scattered across the river's expanse. From Don Daeng Island, we embark on a leisurely morning ride, soaking in the serene surroundings. Then we catch the ferry to Ban Niet Ngong, where you'll have the choice to either cycle or stroll to Phu Asa, a captivating site adorned with ancient stone towers. As the afternoon unfolds, we cross the Mekong's waters to reach Don Khong, one of the region's largest and most captivating islands,

DAY 5: Don Khong – Don Khone

Island hopping continues as we ferry and cycle our way from Don Khong to Don Som, Don Det, and finally Don Khone. Along the way, we pause for a moment of tranquillity, cruising by boat in hopes of catching a glimpse of the rare Irrawaddy dolphins.

DAY 6: Don Khone – Bolaven Plateau

We Cycle on and visit to the magnificent Phapeng Waterfalls before ascending to the coffee-rich lands of the Bolaven Plateau. Indulge in a picturesque lunch stop at Tad Fane Waterfall before embarking on a scenic cycling route to our charming coffee resort.

DAY 7: Bolaven Plateau - Tad Lo

Today's ride takes us through serene countryside landscapes, as we pedal along quiet tarmac roads, passing quaint villages en route to Tha Teng. Pause for a captivating glimpse into the traditional coffee roasting process at a Katou village before descending to the enchanting Tad Lo Waterfalls. Our riverside overnight stay offers a refreshing opportunity to unwind and perhaps take a dip in the rejuvenating waters.

DAY 8: Tad Lo – Pakse

Bid farewell to the Bolaven Plateau as we navigate an undulating road, punctuated by unexpected delights, including a stop at the impressive Tad Pha Suam waterfall. Our journey culminates with a transfer to Pakse, where we gather for a memorable rooftop farewell dinner.
